WearAdvisor helps you decide what to wear by using weather, location, and on-device preference information. This policy explains what information is used and how it is handled.
Information Used by WearAdvisor
- Precise location: when you choose current-location weather, WearAdvisor may use your device location to request a local forecast.
- Selected cities or places: when you search for a travel or planned location, WearAdvisor uses that selected place to request weather for that location.
- Preferences: name, age, comfort settings, units, style preference, weather location preference, and reminder settings are stored on your device to personalize the app experience.
- Purchase status: WearAdvisor checks Apple StoreKit entitlement status to unlock premium access. WearAdvisor does not receive your payment card details.
Location and Weather Providers
Location information is used only to provide weather-based outfit recommendations and related app functionality. WearAdvisor uses Apple WeatherKit where available and may use Open-Meteo as a fallback weather provider. Coordinates for the current or selected weather location may be sent to those providers only to retrieve a forecast.
Tracking, Advertising, and Sale of Data
WearAdvisor does not use location data for tracking. WearAdvisor does not sell personal information, does not show third-party ads, and does not share data with advertising networks.
Storage
WearAdvisor does not require an account or login. Preferences are stored locally on your device using app storage. If you delete the app, locally stored preferences may be removed by the operating system.
Children
WearAdvisor is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as WearAdvisor changes. The latest version will be available at this page.
